We have made it our mission to offer the best training and shooting experience in the Northeast.
With both a Mobile Shooting Range and local training areas, Boston Shooting Club hosts a multitude of shooting courses to suit every skill level from the beginner and advanced shooter, to elite military and law enforcement officers. Our experienced instructors will provide expert instruction to improve any shooter’s skills. Currently, we offer the following courses:

Basic Firearm Safety Course
Interested in getting your LTC or FID Card? Let Boston Shooting Club train you the right way!
We offer the Massachusetts State Police approved training for those interested in obtaining their License to
Carry (LTC) or Firearm Identification Card (FID).
In accordance with MGL Chapter 140, 131P and 515 CMR 3.00, the LTC-001 Safety Course is required to
obtain a LTC, or FID and includes the following topics:
• Firearms Parts and Operation
• Using Firearms Safely
• Storage of Firearms
• Transporting Firearms
• Overview of Cleaning
• Shooting Fundamentals
• Basic Marksmanship Skills
• MA Firearms Laws
• Application Assistance
Those seeking a Mass firearms license must show proof of this training prior to applying for their license.
At the end of the course, you will have the certificate needed to submit along with your town’s firearm LTC /
FID Application forms.
Boston Shooting Club provides the Massachusetts Firearms Safety Course for residents and non-residents
alike. It is important to obtain your certification the proper way. The Boston Shooting Club will provide you
with the accurate information you need to begin the LTC or FID application process.
Once certified, be sure to visit our Pro Shop and Mobile Shooting Range for premium firearms and specialized training.
(**The LTC-001 Firearms Safety Course is a presentation-based, non-shooting course**)
Rifle 101: AR-15
This four (4) hour long course is designed to help the new/entry-level AR-15 rifle shooter.
Students will learn and understand the mechanics, maintenance points, and operation of their rifle.
Beginning the course, students will learn how to field strip, inspect, and properly lubricate their
AR-15 rifle. Following, students will use our Mobile Shooting Range and learn how to safely operate
their rifle by completing several live-fire shooting drills.
Once the live-fire portion of the course is complete, students will again break down their rifle and give it a proper cleaning using a complimentary Otis Cleaning Kit
- Students must have a valid LTC
- Students must bring their own AR-15 Rifle
- All rifles must be transported in accordance with Massachuestts state laws
- It is recommended that students bring a mutli tool for rifle breakdown

Pistol 101: Basic Pistol
At Boston Shooting Club, the Pistol 101 Course is the perfect course for new or beginning shooters who are looking to learn the basic mechanics of handguns.
Students will spend two hours in the classroom learning the basic safety and shooting fundamentals with various types of handguns:
The remaining hour of the class, students will practice shooting and operating a variety of handguns (Revolvers, Semi-automatics, from small to large calibers).
With the course, Boston Shooting Club provides all firearms, ammunition, targets, eye protection, and ear protection at no additional cost to you.
NOTE: ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE A VALID MASSACHUSETTS
LICENSE TO CARRY IN ORDER TO TAKE THIS COURSE
